Drones could facilitate the expansion of services or the integration of other technologies into environments in which they currently are not available. Transportation and surveillance are likely the areas in which drones can make the most impact on GCB event preparedness, detection, and response. Transportation networks can enable the rapid delivery of clinical materiel and pharmaceutical supplies to areas that are difficult to access because of physical or topographical barriers or due to risk of infection for human responders.
